Student 4, Undergraduate Student Assistant

Hiring an undergraduate student for the development of Punjabi Folklore and Popular Literary Forms Winter 2026

Job Overview: The student assistant will help with the research in Punjabi folklore, audio, videos and educational resources. (25%)

They will be responsible for digitizing the course materials, creating quizzes, formatting course content in canvas, doing translation from Punjabi to English and transliteration wherever needed. (75%)

About the course: Punjabi Folklore and Popular Literary Forms. This course is being created under Language and Applied Linguistics department. 

Qualifications – You’re an ideal candidate if you:

● If you can read, write Punjabi and understand Punjabi music and literary pieces.  (required)

● Have a genuine interest in Punjabi folk culture, history, the arts, and heritage. (required)

● Have strong research, writing, and communication skills (required)

● Are proficient in digital applications, including Microsoft Office, Canva, and Google

      research tools. (required)

● Have demonstrated sharp attention to detail and organizational abilities.

● Are adaptable and have a willingness to learn.

Duration & Compensation

Starting date: Winter Quarter 2026, with the possibility to extend to Spring based on the Project pace and requirements. 

Hours: Flexible work hours to fit your schedule; approximately 10-15 hours/week.

Total 100 Hours

Student title:  Student 4 

Compensation: $ 16.50-20/ hour
